In my quest to find better food ideas, with great tast that I love - but being lower in carbs to work better with my diabetic diet, I returned to a classic yesterday that we used to sell at my moms returaunt. This idea came from a time when the Atkins diet was popular, so it was with very little carbs.
The Crustless Pizza is just that, pizza witout the crust. Taking a oven safe dish, like an individual corningwear dish and putting down pizza sauce at the bottom of the dish. Now build it just like any other pizza - Cheese, pepperoni, canadian bacon, salami, mushrooms, onions, and then top with more cheese. Put it in the oven for about 10 - 15 minutes at 450 - can come out when cheese starts to turn golden brown. You can substitue anything, double up the layers to make it ore filling - Just dont add anything that would add up to more carbs.
